The Language Perfect World Championships, a 10 day online competition for learners of languages, has ended and WHS students produced a stunning performance!
120 students took part, competing against 135,000 other students around the world, and between them our students answered over 121,000 questions online in 11 different languages! 10 of our students were awarded Credit Awards for gaining 500 points, 4 students were awarded Bronze Awards for gaining 1,000 points, and 2 students were awarded Gold Awards for gaining 3,000 points – well done Georgina Halstead and Ronya Blaom, both of Year 8! Congratulation to 8DH for being the class that scored the most points for our school during the competition! And congratulations to all participants who competed in Spanish – we were ranked 4th IN THE WORLD out of 142 for Spanish in small to medium-sized schools. This is an amazing achievement – WELL DONE!
