Careers - Welcome

At Waiheke High School, students are encouraged to begin thinking about who they are, what they like and how to make decisions in Year 7 and 8. This prepares them to begin thinking about the world of work in Year 9 and 10 and what this means for their choice of NCEA subjects.

From Year 11 onwards, students receive mentoring support and can arrange one on one Careers Interviews by appointment. Senior students also have opportunities to attend a range of careers events, undertake work placements and pursue vocational courses that complement their schoolwork.

Please feel free to contact the schools Counsellor, Tricia Blair, to arrange a careers interview for a student or if you would like to talk about careers options. (blairt@waihekehigh.school.nz):
