The Children’s Autism Foundation is a charitable organisation that provides much needed support to families/whanau and carers of young people with autism. To create awareness, understanding and knowledge, a family consultant from our organisation will come to school on the 28th of September to talk about autism to the students. Becoming aware of some of the challenges these children may face, creates a better understanding of how other kids can help out. To support the talk, we will show a short video clip to the students: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lr4_dOorquQ
We provide free consultations to families/whanau. If you would like guidance and support, feel free to contact the Children’s Autism Foundation on 09 415 7406. We would like to thank the Jassy Dean Trust for funding the opportunity to talk at Waiheke schools and continuing to support families on Waiheke Island. http://www.jassydeantrust.org/
