Our Year 10 students recently took part in an Inspiring the Future event – a fun and eye-opening experience aimed at broadening their career horizons. We welcomed nine fantastic role models from a wide range of industries, including finance, architecture, human resources, conservation, neuroscience, transport, and alternative energy.
The day kicked off with a game of “20 Questions,” where students worked in teams to guess each role model’s job. There was some impressive detective work on display! Afterwards, students met with the role models in small groups to dive deeper into their careers. They learned about each person’s pathway through education or training, what a typical workday looks like, how Maths plays a role in their job, and had the chance to ask plenty of questions.
A big thank you to our wonderful role models, our students, and Maths teacher, Sydney Lane, who did a fantastic job as MC. It was an inspiring day. We hope it gave our students some valuable insights into the many possibilities their futures can hold.
