The WHS sports turf is a wonderful resource for the school and is used throughout the school day for the students.

WHS reserves the sole use of the turf space 8.30-3.15pm every school day.

Outside of school hours, the public are welcome to use these facilities for free (this is our current policy), though we request that you book your time in advance – ideally this is done at least three days in advance so that we can add your event to the calendar below.

Please view the calendar below to see when the turf space is free for public use, before using the form further below to book a time for you to use the turf facility.

Bookings are on a first come first use basis and a fair use policy. The school reserves the right to cancel any bookings for whatever reason – please see the terms and conditions within the booking form.

Terms and conditions of using the sports turf:*
Please note: with any usage of the turf and school spaces, you as the user, agree to these terms and conditions. Please do read these carefully, and if you have any questions, do contact us for any clarification.
  1. Any usage of the space is at the discretion of Waiheke High School (WHS).
  2. Users agree that their use of the school facilities is entirely at their own risk and WHS takes no responsibility for injuries incurred while on school grounds, or for any of the users' equipment.
  3. Please park on the road or outside school areas (not in the school car park.
  4. Users agree to indemnify WHS against any damage to the turf and school facilities.
  5. Hirers are responsible for cleaning up after using the turf. The facilities are to be left as they are found. All rubbish must be removed from the space and the area around it.
  6. If the turf and surrounds are not left clean and tidy, the hirer will be charged an additional fee to pay for a cleaner.
  7. Waiheke High School is not affiliated and does not support any political or cultural views belonging to organisations or individuals who use our facilities. We do not allow any discrimination based upon age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, religion, body type, personal appearance, physical or mental ability, socioeconomic status, marital status, political activities, or affiliation or any other basis proscribed by local and national laws and regulations.
  8. WHS reserve the right to cancel any booking which we feel may create an unsafe environment.

  10. These terms and conditions are subject to change at short notice.
