Cameron Flude

Kia ora and welcome to Waiheke High School!
Ko Cameron Flude tōku ingoa, te tumuaki o te kura tuarua o Waiheke. I am privileged to lead one of the best schools in the country, bringing 15 years of experience from various schools across New Zealand to this role.
At Waiheke High School, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence in all areas—from academics, to sports, to the arts, and everything in between. We’re deeply rooted in our WISE values: whanaungatanga, independence, school culture, and excellence. These principles guide us in creating a supportive environment where every student can thrive.
We also honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi, working closely with Ngāti Paoa, our tangata whenua, to weave Māori perspectives into our curriculum and school community. Our unique Piringakau unit ensures that Māori culture has a permanent place in our school, fostering an inclusive atmosphere where all students feel valued and respected.
Our academic achievements speak for themselves, with consistently high NCEA results and a track record of alumni embarking on distinguished careers. Though we may be small, we are mighty on the sports field, competing with great spirit at national, local, and social levels. Our school community is a tight-knit one, where friendships flourish and every achievement is celebrated.
I invite you to explore our school and discover the exciting opportunities that await. Together, let’s inspire and empower our young people to reach their fullest potential.
Ngā mihi,
Cameron Flude
